Ray White Rural Celebrates 15 Years

Ray White Rural has this month celebrated 15 years as a major player in the Australian rural property industry.

The rural property division of the Ray White Group was founded on 12 September 1994 and has since grown into a truly national player in the rural property and livestock industries, boasting over 80 offices throughout the country.

Ray White Rural was founded by current Chairman Paul White, grandson of company founder Ray White, along with Lex Heinemann and Bruce Smith. All three men remain with the company to this day and last week they reflected on 15 years with a low-key celebratory dinner.

To mark the special occasion, a ‘photo-book’ was published last week showcasing some of the people and events that have shaped the company. Interestingly, the book also features a poem by Pam Moloney, originally published three years ago and entitled 12 ‘Short’ Years. The poem recounts the formation of Ray White Rural and the events that have ensued. Click here to read the poem.

It is interesting to note that the Ray White Group itself was founded in rural Australia, in the tiny Queensland town of Crows Nest. Many of the early recollections of company founder Ray White involve the auctioning of farm parts and machinery.

15 years young, Ray White Rural moves into the next decade with a strong foothold in Australia’s rural property market. Recent marketing campaigns such as Australia’s Best Rural & Property Livestock Magazine are testament to its increasing role as one of the industry’s major players.
