Ray White Rural Charity Fundraiser

Ray White Rural sponsored a Rugby League team to play against a Landmark sponsored team at Greenvale last Friday 17th September to raise funds for the SU group who fund various benefits for troubled and disadvantaged children as well as maintaining a supply of Chaplin’s throughout the State Schools in Queensland.

The day was most successful with Ray White Rural coming from an 18 -14 deficit to run-out winners 24 – 18.  The game was played in high spirits on the Greenvale oval, which is only just softer than concrete.

The Ray White spokesman, Kevin Currie said “it was a great day for Greenvale, with a visit to the school by two Cowboy Staffers, Peter Jones and Happy Thompson.  An auction of goods and services donated by various businesses raising $8,000, the bulk of which will be used to help fund a week long camp to “Distance Education” primary school kids where they will have the opportunity to receive training in various sports”.
