Rural Lifestyle Properties Sell Prior to Auction
The last five days has seen more evidence of the rural lifestyle market on the move with specialists Ray White Rural Brisbane selling two properties, both prior to auction. The marketing for both sales produced a combined 173 enquiries leading to 75 individual inspections.
“Whipbird Springs”, set in a beautiful rural setting in the Tweed Valley, is a private 88 acre property with good water, 50 acres of cleared land and pine and other rainforest areas. The cute cottage with large bay window was moved from the beachfront at Burleigh Heads in the 1980s.
The marketing agent Brad Franks was flat out for 4 weeks servicing the 134 enquiries (mostly from Brisbane and ‘the bush’), 47 one on one inspections, 9 clients had a second inspection and most noteworthy the 18 offers. The property sold for $850,000, and was purchased by a businessman from Spring Hill in Brisbane. The buyer had been seeking the right property for many months and intends to improve the cattle property further by commencing a Hereford Stud.
“Nesram”, a 84.2 acres (34.1ha) property situated in the highly productive and renowned area of Grandchester also sold prior to auction for around $600,000.
Located west of Ipswich and close to Rosewood and Laidley and an hour from Brisbane, “Nesram” is ideal for cattle, horses or just a tranquil rural lifestyle. The well watered property has a recently refurbished 4 bedroom farmhouse, good fencing, cattle yards and 2 large sheds.
The marketing produced 39 enquiries from both near and far which produced 28 inspections. The marketing agents were Peter Douglas and Clint Christison.
