Tenterfield Property Auction Success
RAY White Rural’s Auction Spectacular in Tenterfield on Saturday was an outstanding success, with a full auction clearance!
The record crowd in attendance witnessed spirited bidding resulting in all four properties marketed by Libby Sharpe being sold under the hammer.
The first property to be auctioned was located a short distance from Tenterfield’s golf course.
The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home was complimented by an open plan kitchen/dining/family room with timber bi-fold doors leading onto a large deck, extending the living space to take advantage of the northerly sun and the magnificent views to the golf course.
Bidding was fast and furious with 20 bids recorded to sell the property under the hammer for a final price of $350,000.
Next off the rank was the outstanding property “Ingliston” offering a wonderful lifestyle, located minutes from town atop the Great Divide with 60 acres of the finest grazing country in Tenterfield. The property was offered in three lots:
- Lot 1 – “Ingliston”, 40 acres with a modern four bedroom quality home set in beautifully landscaped gardens with a tennis court and orchard. The property was complimented by an abundant water supply and outbuildings that included a 3-bay slab stable, 3-bay colourbond shed and a 12 x 20 metres machinery shed.
- Lot 2 – 14.35 acres, two darns atop the Great Divide with 360° views.
- Lot 3 – 6.5 acres, one dam.
Bidding was again spirited with 14 bids being recorded for Lot 1 to eventually sell under the hammer for $580,000.
Lot 2 recorded 30 bids for a final price of $80,000 and Lot 3 recorded seven bids to be sold for $35,000.
Bruce Birch from Ray White Rural said that between them the properties had generated 69 inspections in the four-week campaign and attracted more than 1150 fullpage viewings of their web pages.
“This is an outstanding result for the vendors and we would like to thank them for entrusting us with the sale of their properties,” he said.
The next Ray White In Room Auctions will be held on December 5. 2009.
